how long does it take to make a piece?

It usually takes about four weeks from start to finish but can take up to six in the cooler weather as pieces dry slower. This time frame does not include shipping time.

how is pricing determined? 

Pricing is based on how long the piece took to create, the size, how detailed the glaze is, and how happy I am with the finished piece. Pieces that took longer will be more expensive.

Any flawed pieces will be labelled as seconds/on sale, the price is reduced and the flaw listed in the description. 

do you ship internationally? 

I ship within Australia only, and all prices on my store are in Australian dollars (AUD). I am looking into shipping internationally soon - pottery is quite fragile and can be costly to post, I am just doing some more research first so both customers and myself can hopefully a smooth international shipping experience.

postage disclaimer - once your parcel is posted it’s out of my hands and is the responsibility of Australia Post. You’ll always be provided with a tracking number and if the parcel is lost or delayed I will do my best to track it down. In the unlikely event that your piece arrives broken I will lodge an inquiry with AusPost and re-make the piece (please note - no two pieces are identical so you might not get the exact same piece, but I’ll do my best!)

how much does shipping cost?

Within Australia, shipping usually costs between $12 - $20 based on the amount of pieces ordered and their size. Shipping prices are based on Australia Post prices. If it feels like shipping prices have gone up everywhere, they have, AusPost has been steadily raising their prices every year and as a small business I have also had to raise my shipping prices in response. If there are any excess funds left over from the shipping you paid I will refund it to the account you purchased from.

how long does shipping take? 

Within Australia it can take anywhere between 3 - 14 days for your order to arrive, depending on where you’re located. International shipping can take about 3-4 weeks. All parcels are tracked using Australia Post and you will receive a tracking number so you can keep an eye on your order. 

how sustainable is the packaging?

I try to make sure that almost all of my packaging is recycled or recyclable. I generally use paper tape and cardboard boxes, both can be recycled. If you have ordered a lot of pieces or particularly fragile pieces I may use bubble wrap to ensure their safety, any bubble wrap used has been recycled from other shipping. 

are pieces dishwasher/microwave safe? 

I personally put most of my pieces in the dishwasher and microwave without issue. However, to ensure longevity I recommend handwashing them where possible. All pieces come with care instructions specific to the piece so be sure to refer to those.

do you take custom orders?

In the past, yes. However, due to a recent influx of custom order requests, they are now closed as I have taken on as many as I can realistically complete to a high standard and in a reasonable time frame. I may re-open them in the future but I am not certain of that.

is there a waiting list/preorder list?

No, it’s ‘first in best dressed’ when new pieces hit my website. that way it’s fair for all, no people with ‘first dibs’. If you miss out on a piece you were hoping to get, i am very sorry, but it's the luck of the draw/whoever can check out the fastest. Everyone gets access to pieces at the same time.
